Traditionally, the print industry was responsible for generating significant emissions and landfill contributions, but evolving technology means that it no longer needs to be. Moving toward sustainability is an important part of minimising the impact associated with printing.

Road Map To Zero

 

Our People.

We encourage our team to take an active role in sustainability activities through education and training of green products and cleaner technologies. By learning to understand how to print more sustainably we attained HP Ecosolutions Trained Printing accreditation. Our workplace is safer and healthier due to our non-hazardous printing methods thereby improving employee wellbeing. We implement green workplace practices that genuinely reduce landfill by sorting paper from plastics and cardboard, recycling bottles, think before you print messaging and encourage the use of reusable water bottles and coffee cups.

 

 

Green Energy.

We are driving down emissions with a 204 rooftop 81.6 kW solar energy system which powers our entire operation including our HP Energy Star® eco printers. Our solar system generates significant environmental benefits which primarily come from avoided power plant emissions and equates to saving over 45,965kg of coal being incinerated per year. We conserve power with LED movement sensor lighting throughout the facility and save energy by turning off unused devices. Heat reduction and energy efficiency is further achieved by the use of window tints and blockout window furnishings.

 

 

Green Alternatives.

We go beyond just keeping ourselves sustainable. We suggest ways to reuse collateral and provide eco-conscious material alternatives including: PVC free substrates; wallcoverings produced from inners of single use water bottles; timbers and fibrous renewable boards all which help sharpen our customers sustainability edge.

Recycle, Repurpose, Reuse.

We aspire to reduce waste impact by working to recycle, repurpose and reuse. We reduce landfill impact by our participation in the Corex Recycling program; we are HP Planet Partners and active Close the Loop participants. Our HP Ink cartridges are recycled into road base, corflute recycled into plastics, vinyl repurposed by the agricultural community for weed reduction and schools upcycle items for arts projects. All other waste is sent to a Resource Recovery Centre.

 

 

Water Based Inks.

Our HP Latex low energy use printers produce odorless prints and deliver environmental certifications and labels that matter including the UL Ecologo®, Greenguard Gold and Roadmap to Zero certifications. HP Latex ink is a water based ink technology meaning 65% of the ink is water. It's vegan and fully recyclable making it the perfect partner for our green alternative substrates and non-hazardous safe waste disposal.
